what does it mean when a garden gnome has a monkey statue inside?
it was an old german garden gnome i believe, and when it accidentally broke there was a statue of a monkey inside...what does that mean?

It means that a German man knew that a monkey inside would kill someone one day, but it didn't get broken soon enough so the monkey just mummified and it's still there. Poor monkey. :(

    It is probably a German Tradition, I think there may be a Spiritual connotation.
